Kirsty Coates joins the team having worked in not-for-profit organisations for many years. Kirsty was Operations Director of the Centre for Social Justice (CSJ) a Westminster think tank whose mission is to put social justice at the heart of British politics. Working closely with a grassroots network of charities, politicians, policy specialists and philanthropists, the CSJ had much political success and media coverage. Kirsty was a member of the senior management team, managed the organisation's finances and worked closely with the Audit and Risk Committee.
Kirsty has since worked with Sightsavers, an international development charity which fights avoidable blindness and promotes equal opportunities for visually impaired people. As HR Operations Manager, Kirsty managed a team which provides support to 500 employees globally and developed systems to support employees.
She is a member of the board of management of Brighton Housing Trust working on strategy, financial management and fundraising.
Kirsty is originally from Glasgow and studied Cultural and Historical Studies at the University of Brighton.
