Could you be our next Digital Volunteer?

Are you interested in gaining experience in digital and communications? Photoworks are offering an opportunity for a volunteer to support our digital programme.

As Digital Volunteer you will get involved with all aspects of Photoworks’ exciting and wide ranging digital programme, from Google Analytics to our curated Instagram channel and audience development tools such as Twitter and Facebook. The role will give you hands-on experience in social media, content planning, SEO, website management and analytics. You’ll also have an opportunity to support our digital programme by researching artists and online content for our channels and crafting copy.

We’re looking for someone who is keen to learn about digital and communications and who has an interest in visual art and photography. You do not need a degree, or be studying for a degree, to apply and we are looking for applications from people of all ages.

As this is a development opportunity, you do not need to have any previous experience as long as you have a commitment to learning. We invite applications from diverse applicants including those from BAME and/or lower socio-economic backgrounds, or with a disability.

This volunteer placement will start on 1 December 2019 and finish on 31 May 2020. Depending on your availability, you will work with us 1-2 days per week at the Photoworks office (University of Brighton School of Media, 154-155 Edward Street).

This is a voluntary position. We can cover travel expenses within Brighton & Hove.

Please apply before Friday 8 November 2019, 5pm. Interviews will take place on Tuesday 19 November 2019. If you have any questions, or if you would like to submit your application in an alternative format, please contact raquel@photoworks.org.uk.
