Photography after Capitalism: Imagining better tomorrows, today
Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts, University of Sussex, Thursday 21 November
Ever wondered what the world after capitalism is going to look like? Join co-founder and CEO of the Institute for Disruptive Image Economies – a semi-fictional start up specialising in ‘the creative production, efficient circulation and critical consumption of post-capitalist photography’ – as they try to persuade an audience of potential investors to part with their cash and bring an end to neoliberalism.
Combining Ted Talk evangelism and the excitement of Dragon’s Den, expect a playful introduction to the secretive economies of contemporary image culture and dreams of a better tomorrow.
Organised by University of Sussex in partnership with Photoworks.
Part of Being Human Festival 2019.
