14 July 2016
Our free photography club for 14-16 year olds in Brighton & Hove.
Photography Club is an exciting offer from Photoworks for 14 – 16 year olds in Brighton, delivered in partnership with the Brighton & Hove Youth Collective.
Young people meet on a regular basis at Brighton Youth Centre with photographic artist Lindsey Smith. These workshops enable participants to develop their camera skills and produce work for an exhibition.
Getting out and about is an important part of Photography Club. The programme includes exhibition visits to local galleries and research trips to cultural organisations.
Participants develop camera skills and produce photographs and film/video for exhibition. The club is free and all equipment and materials are provided.
Photography Club also creates opportunities for young people to complete their Arts Award at various levels, supported by a trained Arts Award Adviser.
The club is delivered by Photoworks in partnership with the Brighton & Hove Youth Collective.
Take a look at the blog produced by our Summer 2015 participants ‘Photoholics’. On Saturday 15 August 2015 the ‘Photoholics’ set up a photo booth at Jubilee Library, inviting people to create playful portraits using homemade props, see the results of this workshop here.
