Author Bethan Roberts will be discussing her novel My Policeman set in 1950’s Brighton underground gay scene and Brighton writer Allie Rogers will talk on her debut novel Little Gold set in 1980’s Brighton. Both authors will explain how the local archives and National Lesbian & Gay Survey at The Keep helped their research.

Take an exhibition tour with young project participants and meet young project participants and staff from Photoworks and The Keep.

Related project: Into the Outside

Photoworks has been awarded a £47k grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund to lead Into the Outside – a learning project with local young people, re-examining their city’s rich LGBTQ past and creating a new archive of queer youth experiences.
