Photoworks is dedicated to enabling participation in photography, the most democratic medium of our contemporary visual culture. We do this by connecting outstanding artists with diverse audiences through major cultural projects including the Brighton Photo Biennial and Jerwood/Photoworks Awards, artists commissions, our learning and engagement projects with communities and our publishing and events programmes.
Photoworks is a charitable organisation funded by Arts Council England. As a leading national development agency for photography, we have produced some of the most talked about and acclaimed photography and artist projects of the past two decades.
To achieve our ambitions over the next decade we rely on the support of those who share our passion for photography and want to help us to support artists to make new work that is relevant to our contemporary society and that often brings different communities together.
By donating to Photoworks you are supporting our innovative programme. We sincerely value every donation.
We are pleased to announce we have been awarded the Arts Council England Catalyst Evolve grant. This means any money you generously donate to us is match-funded pound for pound by Arts Council England, doubling the effect of your donation. Plus, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Gift Aid increases the value of your donation even more.
You can make either a one-off gift, or a recurring donation via PayPal by using the button below. Alternatively, please contact Kirsty Coates, Deputy Director to discuss your support (kirsty@photoworks.org.uk / 01273 642 237)
