Born in Taranto (Southern Italy) in 1994, Alessio Pellicoro approaches photography in 2016 after an unexpected discovery of some disused cameras of his father. From that moment on he decided to devote himself entirely to the study of the photographic image; the following year he began a three-year degree course in photography at the European Institute of Design in Rome (IED Rome) graduating with honours in July 2019. This course gave him the opportunity to deepen his knowledge of analysis and to the production of the photographic image, as well as the privilege of taking part in various masterclasses and workshops in Italy and abroad.

Pellicoro is currently attending the last year of the two-year specialization in Photography and conservation of cultural heritage at the ISIA in Urbino. His works have been published in various magazines such as Phroom, Photocaptionist, Conceptual Project, Life Framer, Ombra Magazine, ArtDoc Photography Magazine, Yogurt Magazine, C41 Mag, Urbanautica, Perimetro, Il Fotografo, GUP. In 2020 he published “Abisso” his first photographic book with the publishing house DITO Publishing.
