Anouk Kruithof's work has been included in group exhibitions at renowned institutions such as FOAM, the Nederlands Fotomuseum in Rotterdam, the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam and the Museum of Modern Art in New York and this week, she will take over our platform to share her work.
In 2016, Kruithof won the Volkskrant Beeldende Kunstprijs public’s award, and in 2014, the Charlotte Köhler Prize. In 2012 she received the Infinity Award by the International Center for Photography in New York. She won the Hyères Photography Jury Grand Prize in 2011.
Kruithof has published eleven artist’s books and is the founder of The Anamorphosis Prize, an international award for self-published photobooks that ran for 3 years. (2015, 2016, 2017). Recently she created ‘Kunsthuis Makandi’ in the jungle of the inland of Surinam which will become a residency for other creative thinkers.
Anouk Kruithof lives and works alternately in Botopasi Surinam, Bruxelles, Belgium and Dordrecht, the Netherlands.
