Sam Laughlin (b1990, U.K.) Sam studied Documentary Photography at the University of South Wales, Newport. He has exhibited widely both in the UK and internationally, most recently at the Regency Town House for Brighton Photo Fringe 2016 where he was awarded the Danny Wilson Memorial Award.

From the series Slow Time. 2016. Jerwood/Photoworks awardee @samlaughlin90 taking over @photoworks_uk this week. Now that I've posted a few photographs from this project I should probably explain a little about it. 'Slow Time' is an ongoing series that I've been working on alongside my other projects for roughly the last 3 years. Essentially it's about natural processes which take place slowly (often on geological timescales), and a slow way of looking at them.
