A live performance of an interactive choose your own path ‘game’ critically exploring philosophies around land use, land access, accepted forms of knowledge and the purpose and burden of collection, care, use and ownership of resources. Framed around a personal and award-winning childhood collection of geological specimens, this playful interrogation between my gamified/past/present self will help inform the key questions I will be pursuingas part of my PhD research in Art and Design at De Montfort University.
Jane Robb is an artist and academic with over a decade of experience in science education. Her first PhD is in environmental social science, and she is currently interested in the marriage between her artistic practice and geoscience knowledge as part of a second PhD in Art and Design at DMU.
