Photoworks X Words by the Water are commissioning 5 UK-based poets to respond to artworks within the forthcoming Photoworks annual titled Multi Multi.
The selected poets will be given a copy of the publication, to choose an artwork or image to respond to, and will have three weeks to write a poem between 20-60 lines. The poets will also be invited to perform their poems at an event as part of the Photoworks Weekender in collaboration with Words By The Water on Sunday 27 October, in Brighton, UK. We ask that all applicants are available on this date and comfortable with performing their work to a live audience.
The commissioned poems will also be published in an upcoming edition of our online magazine Photography+ which will explore the diverse relationship between poetry and photography.
Fee per artist: £380
