Institution or school: festival in a box and lecture

Photoworks Festival 2020 – Propositions for Alternative Narratives – can be experienced as a photography festival in a box. It is a unique and limited edition object; a portable festival where you become the curator and decide where and how to install it.

We are offering schools and universities a special package where you receive a box and exclusive access and interaction with our curatorial team.

The box  includes artworks by Farah Al Qasimi, Lotte Andersen, Poulomi Basu, Roger Eberhard, Ivars Gravlejs, Pixy Liao, Alix Marie, Ronan Mckenzie, Sethembile Msezane, Alberta Whittle and Guanyu Xu, and a manifesto by Queer History Now.

For a one off payment of £55 sign up to recieve:
  • 1 x Festival in a box.
  • Access to recordings of all our Photoworks Festival talks and events
  • A lecture with one of our curatorial team, which can happen any time from 1 October to 18 December 2020 (or later if requested) either online or in person.
  • Links to all Photoworks Festival learning resources.

Each of the artworks can be installed on your own walls: in your classroom, with your university community or in a space on campus or online. There are an infinite amount of ways in which you can install the festival. There is a wall label for each, giving you more information about the artist and their work.

Also enjoy texts by Simon Baker, Julia Bunnemann, Pamila Gupta, Shoair Mavlian, Lucy Soutter and Raquel Villar-Pérez, as part of the box.

Please note that this is a subsidised offer for state funded schools, colleges and higher education institutions.
