Émeric Lhuisset (FRANCE b.1983) holds degrees in both visual arts (École des Beaux-Arts, Paris) and geopolitics (Université Panthéon-Sorbonne / ENS Ulm).

With his photography Lhuisset combines geopolitics with art, raising questions about the representation of conflicts. His work has been shown in numerous exhibitions worldwide (Tate Modern, London, Museum Folkwang, Essen, Institut du Monde Arabe, Paris, Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam, Rencontres d’Arles, Sursock Museum, Beirut, CRAC Languedoc-Roussillon, Musée du Louvre Lens et al).
He won the 2018 BMW Photography Award, and Grand Prix Images Vevey – Leica Prize 2017. His books include Maydan – Hundred Portraits 2014 ( André Frère Editions and Paradox), Last Water War 2016 (André Frère Editions and Al-Muthanna) and L’Autre Rive 2017 (André Frère Editions).
Lhuisset lectures in contemporary art and geopolitics at the Institute of Political Studies of Paris. He is represented by Kalfayan Galleries.
