Alexander Komenda (b. 1992) is an emerging Polish-Canadian documentary photographer and artist whose work aims to reveal nuances of the quotidian. The key is engaging dialectically with subjects – establishing rapport and dignifying their presence to shape their stories.

Komenda’s works have been published on reputable platforms such as the British Journal of Photography, the Calvert Journal, Der Greif,  PH Museum, Paper Journal, Foto Filmic and Guillotine. He is the recipient of the Film Photo Award (2021) and has been commended by the Royal Photographic Society for the Student Documentary Photographer of the Year (2021).
