Our next guest editor is Jamie Murray, whose work centres around storytelling and narrative. Jamie will share his series Folly over the next week.
Drawing on ideas from history, he is interested in the persistence of stories and their relevance to humanity. Looking towards the notion of documentary within contemporary photography he feels it is important to engage with subjects in a number of ways, not being afraid to confront, collaborate with and record the experiences he has.
Jamie has received a BA(Hons) in Documentary Photography from the University of Newport, and an MA in Photography from UWE, Bristol. He also works on commissions and as an associate lecturer.

@jamieemurray here posting images from my body of work Folly. Often I would find that the individuals I spoke to had moved away from their hometown to somewhere quieter after leaving prison. The density of the British landscape with layers of human history everywhere became apparent and somehow relevant to this story. . #photoworks_uk #jamiemurray #instagramtakeover #photography
