Nieves Mingueza is a Spanish-British artist, researcher, and curator. Her conceptually driven and intimate practice often interweaves images with documentary photography, archival material, collage, text, film, and installation. Bridging the space between the personal and political, she explores and activates the archives to address social and gender issues.
Her work has been exhibited widely including installations at Royal Academy of Arts, Saatchi Gallery, Tate Britain (UK), Fondazione Giorgio Cini (IT), and PhotoEspana (ES), among others. Her first monograph book, ‘All Other Voices Gone, Only Yours Remains’, was published in 2019.
Mingueza’s work has been reviewed by multiple magazines as Lenscratch, Blind, Der greif, L’oeil de la Photographie, Metal, All About Photo, Analog, Yogurt, fisheye, Witty and Lensculture, among others. Educated to MA level in Documentary Photography, she regularly contributes to international symposiums, courses, and workshops.
