We support young people in gaining recognition for their creative achievements with us. We offer accreditation in a variety of light touch formats, helping participants to tell the story of their engagement.
All young people taking part in our programmes are awarded the Photoworks Certificate of Participation evidencing new skills and understanding in photography and visual arts practice. Arts Award accreditation is embedded within programme delivery, and with the support of Badge Nation, we offer digital badges that recognise participants’ skills and attributes.
Photoworks is an Arts Award Centre and Supporter, and proud to be an Artsmark Partner, supporting schools and education settings who are working towards or who currently hold an Artsmark award.
Digital Badges
Digital Badges recognise what individuals achieve and accomplish outside of formal accredited qualifications, using digital badges to motivate learning and ambition. They recognise and acknowledge transferable skills and aptitudes that employers value, typically not recognised through exams and formal qualifications.
The badges are accredited by Badge Nation, a community of organisations formed to encourage, track, share, recognise, reward and motivate learning and ambition – all via digital badges. All badges issued by Badge Nation are written using the Cities of Learning Badge Standard, which is endorsed by City and Guilds and the RSA.
