The theme for this year’s Brighton Photo Biennial is 'A New Europe', a topical theme examining the current state of flux as the United Kingdom redefines its role in Europe, examining our shared history and photography’s role in the construction of national identity and the ongoing refugee crisis.

During the Biennial (28 September – 28 October 2018) we will host a series of Saturday afternoon ‘Open Forum’ events (Saturday 6, Saturday 13 and Saturday 27 October). We’re looking for artists to present projects relevant to the theme, and share ideas in an open group discussion and Q&A.

Artists are invited to submit a short statement about their project (no more than 250 words) and up to eight images through this link.

Artists will be announced w/c 17 September 2018. Submissions close September 3, 5pm.

There is no submission fee, the open forum events will be free to attend.
