Aged between 13 and 25 and thinking about submitting your work to our untold heritage project? Check out the prizes and judging panel, which we can now reveal in full for the first time!
Images submitted for this project, which is organised by Photoworks and English Heritage Shout Out Loud, will be viewed by a group of industry experts, curators and artists, with the best being selected for a place in the digital Photoworks Festival in October 2020. The submission date has also now been extended to 18 September.

- Four x one hour mentoring sessions via Zoom with award-winning photographer Alejandra Carles-Tolra
- A one hour mentoring session of your choice via Zoom with Photoworks Digital, Editorial and Curatorial teams to look at your portfolio, digital presence and writing about your practice.
- A Canon Selphy Compact Photo Printer (& paper). A mini printer that’s smaller than a shoebox and can print photos straight from your smartphone (using Bluetooth) or SD card
- English Heritage Membership for one year
- English Heritage Guidebook Bundle – three guidebooks selected by you
- A copy of ‘Photographic Historic Buildings’ by Steve Cole from English Heritage
- Photoworks Book Bundle – a selection of books from the Photoworks shop

We want everyone between 13 and 25 to document the people, places, and communities that have shaped you at this moment in history, and the heritage you will hand down to future generations.

What is untold heritage? Some ideas from us!
You could submit a photo of:
- your personal ancestry and family (such as family, ancestry, traditions, etc.)
- untold heritage (community stories, stories about work, places of significance, community, etc.)
- future heritage (national conversations like climate change, inequality and housing ect.)
We can’t wait to see the work you create which tells your stories, inspired by your heritage!
