We’re Hiring! Photoworks is looking for a Deputy Director

This post is an exciting opportunity to work with the Director to lead Photoworks in our next chapter, playing a key part in delivering the organisation’s ambitious plans for the future. Fundraising, operations, governance, HR, financial management, board and Arts Council England reporting alongside business development are important responsibilities within this role.
We raise income to fund our programme through grants, trusts & foundations, sponsorship, individual giving, membership and our online shop. Key among your early projects will be developing and implementing a strategy for sponsorship, grants, membership, trusts & foundation fundraising. You will also work with the director to develop systems, policies and the business plan.
Applicants must have the following experience:
- Strategic, project and business planning expertise
- Experience in charity management and accountability
- Skilled in managing and leading fundraising from a wide range of sources and delivering against financial targets.
- Skilled in project evaluation and reporting on business data
- Experience of Arts Council NPO reporting
- Highly organised with a passion for attention to detail and efficiency
- Excellent communication and people management skills
- Experience of HR, communications and PR
- Agility in running multiple projects to a high standard
- Strong IT knowledge and financial reporting
- Hybrid working, ability to travel, based in easy reach of london/brighton and capacity to work flexible hours as relevant
