In 2015, Photo Meet launched Offspring, a dynamic platform designed to empower photographers by facilitating connections, creativity, and career development. The event offers comprehensive portfolio reviews, workshops, seminars, and networking opportunities, bringing together industry experts and emerging talents to inspire the community and support visual artists in their professional endeavours.
The Best Portfolio Award:
Showcasing emerging excellence, the Best Portfolio Award celebrates exceptional photographic talent, providing recipients with the opportunity to have their work recognised by influential professionals in the photography world. The Award not only highlights exceptional vision and craftsmanship, but helps photographers to make impactful strides in their professional journeys.
This year’s awardees are Sabine Hess (Gold), Keerthana Kunnath (Silver), and Imogen Forte (Bronze), whose work has demonstrated artistic excellence.
Sabine Hess, a Swiss photographer, explores intimate connections with nature and human togetherness through her storytelling. Keerthana Kunnath, an artist based between India and London, deconstructs postcolonial media narratives, challenging societal norms by exploring themes of queerness, intimacy, and community. Imogen Forte, an award-winning photographer, creates emotive and intuitive imagery, capturing moments that resonate deeply with her audience. Together, their works offer compelling insights into personal and collective experiences.
University opening times: 10am-5pm
