'I make images of what I think contemporary life looks like, what it could be about and what it feels like.'
Albert Elm’s series What sort of life is this and the ongoing project Fish Out of Water reveal his interest in making the banal and everyday both curious and strange.
Elm describes his work as creating ‘an atmosphere that’s beyond everyday life by showing it in a different way. It’s interesting out there if you insist on it and look the right places…I want to show some twisted parts of life that triggers a feeling of curiosity and a desire to ask questions.’
