Showcase: Edita Kalesinskaite

Edita Kalesinskaite's project explores the cost of meat in this video installation.

My practice is primarily  concerned with the ethical and spiritual consequences of human interactions with other species, with a strong focus on the role that human activities play in relation to exploitation of livestock animals.

The process of intensive animal farming, at least in most of the Western countries, is largely invisible. Distancing is a key technique to control moral issues related to conditions of such production.

Exploring the environment of  the industrial chicken slaughterhouse, project aims to investigate the endless process of mass production and the cost of our desire to consume meat.
