Jacob Penketh is our next youth showcase, a platform provided for 16 - 18 year olds to showcase their talents in photography.

Jacob Penketh

BHASVIC

The project that I am submitting was taken in Dungeness where a barren land is filled with waste and junk which affected the shoot because it allowed me to take photographs that made a social statement on how we treat our environment but also the contrast of waste and beauty and how they can come together.

I was inspired by Derek Jarmen who carried out many photography shoots in Dungeness as he lived there for many years before he died. I hope that these photographs are found to be insightful and moving and that they are chosen to be displayed to the global community of photography lovers that I am part of.
