Hello. I am @fabienmarques and I am glad to share some of my works and thoughts about photography this week. Fabien Marques is a visual artist based in northern France. He gained his MA Visual Arts at Sint-Lukas Brussels University College of Art and Design after completing a BA (Hons) Fine Art Photography at the Glasgow School of Art.

His artworks have been shown in the context of numerous exhibitions and festivals such as the Copenhagen Photo festival and the Glasgow Festival for Visual Arts. He has taken part in exhibitions, among others at Recyclart Brussels, Cube Centre for Urban Built Environment, Manchester and at Street Level Photoworks, Glasgow. He has recently been award by the Archifoto International Awards of Architectural Photography.

 

He is currently working on a project-space called ‘La Confection Idéale’ for supporting visual artists.

Day 3 of #instagramtakeover. This is an installation view from recent show “With all my heart, I kiss you”, during the 8th biennale for young visual artists from northern France and Belgium “Watch this space” For this exhibition, I was questioning photographic process of image making through war representation.  It includes various images from #WWI #Verdun battlefield: large colour prints, postcards, found images.
