Rhianne Clarke is a contemporary photographic artist living in London. She studied Photographic Arts at the University of Westminster and recently graduated in 2017.

Hello! This is Rhianne Clarke (@rhianneclarke) taking over @photoworks_uk this week for the #IGTakeover! “In the summer of 2014, I lost my Father to cancer. A year after his death, my Mother found a negative binder amongst storage containing 35mm negatives. Inside were 450 single photos made by my Father presumably between the 70’s and 80’s.”

Central to her work lies a notion of self, emanating from her personal and direct experiences in the world. Having lived in London her whole life Rhianne’s practice is concerned with exploring the changing urban landscape.

Hi ! Rhianne Clarke ( @rhianneclarke ) here taking over the Photoworks Instagram for the next week.Here’s another one from “There’s Room Enough for Both of Us”, an exploration into the gentrification of The Royal Borough of Greenwich. This photo is taken directly opposite to O2 arena, a playground for tourists. Greenwich has always been known as beautiful place, a global spectacle steeped in history. My camera looks away from the usual patriotic and nautical references associated with the area, instead exploring the area’s urban tissue. #IGTakeover #rhianneclarke #photography #landscape #greenwich
