The next issue of Photography+, titled The People’s Pictures, will explore vernacular photography, the ordinary, the personal, and the overlooked moments of daily life. From family albums and tourist photos to amateur portraits, street snapshots, and even the casual scroll of a phone’s camera roll, these images capture the rich, textured life of photography beyond the professional or artistic sphere. They document people, places, material culture, and fleeting moments that might otherwise be forgotten. Vernacular photography is at once intimate and expansive. It preserves memory while reflecting the broader rhythms of everyday life, offering a unique lens through which to examine history, identity, and culture.
We invite community submissions that respond to this theme. The call is open to everyone, wherever you are in the world. Selected artists will receive £80.
