About the role
This is an opportunity for an emerging artist facilitator to support artist Eva Louisa Jonas to deliver a creative programme for young people aged 16 – 25 identifying as LGBTQ+ or unsure.
Queer Grounds LGBTQ+ Photography Club is a partnership between Photoworks, Phoenix Art Space (Brighton cohort) and the Devonshire Collective (Eastbourne cohort).
Devised by lead artist facilitator Eva Louisa Jonas and supported by the Artist Assistant (this role) the club will engage two cohorts of young people (one in Eastbourne and one in Brighton) supporting them to develop practical and creative photography and visual arts skills.
About you
You are an enthusiastic and dynamic person with a passion for photography; visual arts practice and increasing participation and engagement in the cultural sector. Your practice or lived experience will link in some way with the ideas and themes that young people will be exploring in this project (i.e. representation, queer community building, queer spaces).
